Socket Buddy

Terms of Use

These terms explain the rules for using Socket Buddy and its one-time Premium unlock.

Effective: July 29, 2026 · Last updated: July 29, 2026

1. Acceptance

By downloading or using Socket Buddy (“the App”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App. The App is provided by Antonino Francesco Musolino (“I”, “me”, or “the developer”).

Apple’s standard end-user license agreement may also apply to your use of the App. Mandatory consumer rights in your country are not limited by these terms.

2. License and acceptable use

You receive a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the App on devices permitted by the App Store rules.

You must not:

  • copy, sell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute the App except where law permits;
  • reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code except where such a restriction is prohibited by law;
  • interfere with the App’s security, operation, or purchase controls; or
  • use the App unlawfully or to infringe another person’s rights.

3. Your travel and device information

You are responsible for trip names, dates, device details, and other content you add. You retain your rights in that content and must have the right to use it.

Socket Buddy stores this content through your iCloud environment. You are responsible for access to your Apple Account, device security, and any separate backups you consider necessary.

4. Socket Buddy Premium

Socket Buddy may offer “Socket Buddy Premium” as a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase. Premium unlocks the features described on the paywall at the time of purchase. The App Store displays the price, currency, and applicable tax before you confirm.

Apple processes payment and manages the purchase record. Purchases are associated with your Apple Account. You can use Socket Buddy’s restore function to recover an eligible purchase while signed in with the Apple Account used to buy it.

Billing authorization, refunds, and family-sharing availability are governed by Apple’s terms and applicable law. Except where required by law or Apple’s policies, the developer cannot directly issue App Store refunds.

5. Electrical and travel safety

Socket Buddy is an informational travel aid. It is not a substitute for a qualified electrician, device manufacturer, travel authority, or official safety guidance.

Plug, socket, voltage, frequency, adapter, converter, and compatibility information can be incomplete, outdated, regional, or affected by a particular building or device. Always verify the rating printed on your device and charger and confirm local conditions before connecting equipment.

Camera recognition can misread a device label. You must review and correct recognized values before relying on a Trip Check result. Do not use damaged equipment, defeat grounding or safety mechanisms, or exceed the ratings of any device, adapter, converter, or outlet.

6. Availability and changes

Some features require a compatible device, operating-system version, internet connection, iCloud account, camera permission, or access to Apple and Google services. Features may be unavailable because of maintenance, regional restrictions, network conditions, or service changes outside the developer’s control.

Socket Buddy and its underlying country information may be corrected or updated over time. Features may be added, modified, or removed where permitted by law. Updates may be required to continue using the App safely or correctly.

7. Privacy

The Socket Buddy Privacy Policy explains how travel preferences, iCloud sync, on-device camera scanning, analytics, Apple Maps, and purchase information are handled.

8. Intellectual property

The App, its design, software, original graphics, text, trademarks, and other developer-provided material are owned by or licensed to the developer and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership to you.

Country names, flags, electrical standards, maps, and other third-party materials remain subject to their respective rights and licenses.

9. Disclaimers and liability

The App is provided on an “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, no guarantee is made that information is complete, current, uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every device, destination, or purpose.

Liability is not excluded where exclusion is prohibited, including for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or mandatory consumer protections. Otherwise, liability is limited to losses reasonably foreseeable from a breach of these terms.

10. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. Your license may be terminated if you materially violate these terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, and liability terms—will continue to apply.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by Italian law, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections available under the law of their country of residence. Any mandatory jurisdiction rules remain unaffected.

12. Changes and contact

These terms may be updated when Socket Buddy or applicable requirements change. The current version will remain available on this page with its updated date.
